Parents Place operates a weekly, afternoon group for mothers and their infants birth to nine months. Mothers have opportunities to meet and share experiences with others adjusting to motherhood and to discuss their concerns with two professional group facilitators.

The goals of the group are to:

• reduce mothers' sense of isolation
• ease the transition into motherhood
• provide opportunities to learn practical strategies for coping with issues such as sleep, feeding, and fussiness
• refer families who need services not provided at Parents Place to appropriate resources in the community
